To make the search easier, it is important to give more detail. If you search by style, then more pictures will come up. For this reason, I will be giving some examples of tattoo styles in this article.
Nowadays there are a lot of particular styles in last couple of years many new styles have been created. some styles have been merged which created even more new styles. Here I will be skipping some, but we will have a good baseline to start the research and some keywords that may help you find something you might like.

Once you have an idea of which direction the tattoo will be going, especially in the case of realism, it is good to start looking for references in high resolution rather than pictures of someone else’s tattoo. This will make the design process easier.
